I found a video on YouTube about supporting stem cell research and the effect of diabetes in this country. It’s by a user called mariomguy. This was at the time that President George W. Bush was in Office for his second term. Don’t forget to click on the link below to see a news report from USA Today on President Obama’s lift of the ban on stem cell research. Here’s his introduction:
Not too long ago, George Bush vetoed his first bill after 5, 1/2 years of serving for our country as president. The bill he vetoed did not allow stem cell research to be funded properly by the government, while the many millions of people like me could be cured from the research. His main reasons for vetoing the bill had to do with cloning, and us being a Christian country. Following this announcement, George Bush received a standing ovation.
I am 15 years old. I have had Diabetes for 10 years, and this coming March of 2008 will be my 11th Year. Diabetes is more than just a life threatening disease. It’s your life… period.
But there is hope. The JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) holds a Walk-to-Cure-Diabetes every year in Siesta Key Beach, Florida. They raise millions of dollars a year and span to over 200 locations around the Earth. Diabetes can be cured across America with proper funding from organizations, the government, and people like you.
Now this video isn’t meant to scare people that have diabetes. Truth is, if you’re careful and listen to your doctors, you can live a long, happy, and healthy life. It’s not always easy, but you can always do something about it to control your sugar more and be healthier than you can ever be. There’s always something you can do, and it’s a good feeling!

Now shouldn’t we all join together, regardless of what type of diabetes we have, and start a letter writing campaign to our congressmen that states we support Barrack Obama in lifting the ban on stem cell research? I think we should. What are your thoughts? Please leave a reply below or email us
